So How Does This Work? 
 
Question: I've never used a pet sitter before. What all is involved? 
 
 Answer: When you first contact us, the main questions we'll have for you are:

The next step is to set up a free Meet N Greet so you and your pets can "interview" us. Then together, we'll determine the just right care routine for your pet while you're gone. 
 
We offer a complimentary 30 minute Meet n Greet. 
 
This is a way for us to meet each other, let your potential pet sitter meet and interact with your pets to see if they're a good fit for your family, and for you to ask us any questions you may have. 

 

If possible, please schedule this meeting at least 2 days before the job is to begin.

 

However, we understand that "life happens" and do our best to be as flexible as we can about scheduling. It never hurts to call and ask if we can accomodate your schedule. 

 

When you and your pets decide to hire us, we have a set of forms that we ask you to fill out. We use a pet sitting software called Time To Pet. We will add you to our client list, which will send you an automated email with instructions. Once your information is added, you can then use the software or our mobile app to schedule bookings, leave us messages, check your diary for notes and pictures from us about our visits with your pets, and even pay your invoices.

 

When you schedule a booking, we will check our availability and then get back with you to confirm. 

 

 

 


 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

 
The forms include a service agreement (which gives us permission to be on your property and in your home), a client information sheet, a vet release with an advance directive, and a pet information sheet. The more information you can give us about your pets the better we can care for them. Please be sure to include your pet's "quirks" so we know what to watch for! We'll also go over your detailed information on how to care for your pets. 

 

If your pet has a medical condition, please don't be afraid to give us all the pertinent details and don't feel like you have to downplay the seriousness of their condition. We can meet as many times as either of us feel is necessary in order for us to feel comfortable in giving medications or watching out for your pet. And if I don't feel that I can adequately take care of your pet, I will let you know and do my best to find someone who can. 
 
In addition to the vet release, we do ask that you call your veterinarian to let them know that we'll be taking care of your pets while you're gone and make emergency payment arrangements with them if you don't have details in place already. If you don't have a local vet, we're glad to give you the contact information for some of the local vets that we work with so you have several options to choose from. 
 
Then we ask for at least two ways to enter your home, if appropriate for your home (for example, a garage code and keys). We also ask for two copies of your key. These items are kept in a secure, safe location. One key stays at the office and the other will be with the sitter during the visits. 
 
The Meet N Greet and the forms only have to be done once (unless something changes). We do like our human clients as much as their pets, but we don't get to see them nearly enough. We strive to make the process as easy as possible for you. 
 
When it's time to start your pet sitting visits, we will log in to the Time To Pet mobile app. We like to take lots of pictures of your pets so we can upload them to our online diary and make a Facebook album of what all we've done while you've been gone. We have pets of our own and know how much you miss them while you're apart.

We take the safety, security and privacy of your home very seriously. A Conway's Pet Nana sitter will be the only person coming into your home. We do not bring family members, friends, or children to our visits in your home. We occasionally may bring someone with us who will stay in the car during our visit (for example, if the visits are being made late at night, or if. your home is in a secluded location, etc).

We also do not answer the door or your house phone unless instructed to do so by you. If a service person comes to the door, we will call you or your emergency contact first to verify that you are expecting them and get details from you on what you want done.

 

The same goes for the pictures and videos that we take. Every effort is made to only focus on the pet, not the surroundings. We will never post any media unless you give us permission to do so and we never associate your name or location with the pictures of your pets..
